FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW LONG ARE THE VISITS?
We offer dog walks for as little
as 30 minutes to as long as 1 hour.
30 minute visits for cats,
birds, rabbits and other pets. Our boarding and overnight stays vary in
duration according to the needs of our clients.
IS THERE AN INTERVIEW
PROCESS?
Yes. We prefer to interview
"the parent" and their pet prior to retaining them as a client. We want to
make sure that you and your pet are comfortable with us and that we all
interact well together.
WHAT IS OUR BACKGROUND?
All of our sitters are animal
lovers and multiple pet owners. We have all been certified by the American
Red Cross in pet first aid and CPR and we have attended several seminars
for animal care, including the "dog whispering" seminar to promote better
communication with animals. All employees are bonded and insured. In
addition to our training, we have all fostered animals at one time or
another.
MY DOG HAS NOT BEEN
NEUTERED. WILL HE/SHE STILL BE ABLE TO JOIN OUR SERVICES?
We prefer that all of our
clients be neutered. However, we will definitely consider non-altered
clients for
individual
dog walks.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY PET IS
IN YOUR CARE AND THERE IS AN EMERGENCY?
We keep an up-to-date database
of all possible contacts for each pet: home and work phone numbers, mobile
phone numbers, veterinary phone numbers and addresses, as well as phone
numbers and addresses of closest friends, relatives, neighbors, etc. All
sitters are required to keep their information with them at all times. Any
pertinent information that you feel we should have is kept updated and on
file.
WILL MY PET HAVE THE SAME
PET SITTER ALL THE TIME?
Yes, if at all possible. We
prefer that each sitter stay with their respective clients. We get just as
attached to the pets as they do to us. There will be occasions where a pet
sitter is sick or on vacation
and on those. occasions only, will we substitute
another sitter.
